Rob Walsh Photography
Founded and operated by Rob Walsh, an Enfield photography business. From a young age, I have been interested in landscapes and animals. Travelling by rail across Canada in my childhood, I was enthralled by the passing lakes and forest scenery, as well as the Rocky Mountains. I grew up next to the Shubenacadie River in East Hants. Many a day I observed aquatic animals, watching migratory fish and learning animal tracks in the woods.
In the 80s and 90s, I was fortunate enough to travel throughout Canada, The USA and Western Europe. From hiking in the Rockies, to hitchhiking in Ireland, to experiencing Old Faithful erupting in Yellowstone National Park. I have had an interesting life and it has inspired me in my photography in Enfield.
In 1995, I enrolled in the Photography Program at the Nova Scotia Community College (Halifax Campus). I completed a successful first year in the Photography Course and then continued for a second year in the Digital Imaging diploma program, graduating in 1997.
Early in 2017, I left the Chronicle Herald newspaper after working there as a pre-press technician for 14 years. I decided to pursue my passion for photography, forming my Enfield photography business.
It has been a great time meeting new people and photographing many beautiful places and animals, in our province.
